MMDA Cup 2025 Executive League crowns champions

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) wrapped up its MMDA CUP 2025 Executive League with an awarding ceremony at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City, recognizing winners in basketball, badminton, and bowling.

MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes expressed appreciation to officials and executives from national government agencies and local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila for showcasing their skills during the event. “The MMDA Cup Executive League promotes fitness, teamwork and camaraderie among Metro Manila officials, while strengthening cooperation for the development of the region,” he said.

In basketball, the Office of the President team emerged victorious, defeating the Philippine National Police (PNP) 72-69. OP’s Disodado Espinoza Jr. was named Finals MVP, while Khasim Ali Mirza was named overall MVP for the season.

In badminton, PNP triumphed in the mixed doubles category, while Manila City secured the women’s doubles title, and PNP won the men’s doubles. The badminton event saw Pasig City and Manila City among the top finishers.

In bowling, Las Piñas City claimed the championship, with Parañaque City and Pasig City finishing as first and second runners-up, respectively. Special bowling awards went to MMDA’s Emmanuel Miro as the best male bowler and San Juan’s Rossette Laquian as the best female bowler.
