A kidnap victim was successfully rescued, resulting in the arrest of five Chinese nationals in a successful law enforcement operation in Pasay City.
Authorities arrested alias “Jian” and four other Chinese nationals involved in kidnapping for ransom and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in violation of RA 10591 in relation to RA 7166 (Omnibus Election Code).
They also face charges of violating RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), and reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
The operation led to the rescue of a kidnap victim, the seizure of 152.4 grams of suspected “shabu” with a Standard Drug Price of P761,000 and the recovery of two loaded .38 caliber revolvers.
The operation was conducted upon the instruction of National Capital Region Police Office director PBGen. Anthony A. Aberin, Southern Police District director PBGen. Manuel J. Abrugena and Pasay Police chief PCol. Joselito M. De Sesto.
Prior to the operation, a certain Trixia reported to the MOA Police Sub-Station that her friend, alias “Fei,” had been kidnapped and was being held by a group of Chinese nationals demanding a P500,000 ransom.
Intelligence reports indicated that the suspects were located inside Shore 2 Condominium, MOA Complex, Pasay City.
A strategic plan was immediately devised to lure the suspects into an entrapment operation, where alias “Trixia” pretended to comply with the ransom demand and arranged a meeting near IKEA MOA Arena, MOA Complex, Pasay City.
On 12 March around 4 a.m., as alias “Jian” exited a gray Geely vehicle (Plate No. CCC4553) with the victim, operatives swiftly moved in for the arrest.
