Senator Christopher “Bong” Go joined a celebration of love and unity at the Kasalang Bayan in Tahanan Village Park, BF Homes, Parañaque City on Friday, Valentine’s Day.

The event witnessed the union of 80 couples, with Senator Go standing as one of their sponsors.

Invited by the Barangay BF Homes officials, Senator Go began his address by expressing his warm congratulations to the newlyweds, highlighting the values of love, trust, and mutual respect in marriage.

“First of all, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the lucky couples who got married today. It is a great honor for me to be part of your special occasion, a day filled with love, joy, and new beginnings,” he said.

He emphasized that marriage is more than just a ceremony — it is a lifelong commitment strengthened by love and understanding.

“Marriage is not just a ceremony but a lifelong promise. It is a union fortified by love, trust and respect for each other. In your married life, you will face various challenges, but always remember — when there is love and understanding, no problem is insurmountable,” Go stated.

Senator Go also reminded the couples to nurture their relationship and strengthen the values that make a family stronger.

“Support each other in building a family rooted in compassion, respect, and love — because a strong family is the foundation of a resilient society,” he shared.

“My wish for you is to have a happy family. And to the youth, love and respect your parents,” he added.

“The effort to make this Kasalang Bayan happen is not just about providing public service but a symbol of care and commitment to our fellow citizens and the importance of family,” he said.

Meanwhile, connecting his health advocacy with the essence of love and compassion within families, Senator Go emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for couples and their families.

As a staunch advocate for accessible healthcare, Senator Go highlighted his ongoing health initiatives and legislative efforts aimed at improving the welfare of Filipinos.

He discussed the importance of Malasakit Centers, which serve as one-stop shops for medical assistance, consolidating services from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.

As the principal author and sponsor of Republic Act 11463, or the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019, Go shared that 167 Malasakit Centers are now operational nationwide, benefiting over 17 million Filipinos.
