Pernilla Sjoö, the Swedish woman allegedly involved in the recent online feud between Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo, has spoken out for the first time regarding the controversy.
Taking to Facebook, Sjoö shared screenshots of her now-private Instagram posts, addressing the backlash she has received.
"I just don't understand why some people carry so much hate in their minds and bodies. I hope that if you ever make a hurtful comment, you can still sleep peacefully at night, knowing you've caused someone pain. I'm still human — I still feel hurt, and when it's too much, it cuts deep," she wrote.
She also urged people to be more compassionate and avoid passing judgment without understanding the full story.
"I hope you never become the reason someone cries themselves to sleep or questions their worth, wondering why they weren't good enough," she continued. "We're all going through something. Can we at least try to be kinder to one another? I mean no harm to others. If you will be kind to me, I assure you that I'll be kinder to you. Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, but you don't."
Sjoö, a photographer based in Siargao, was reportedly close to Eigenmann and Alipayo before the controversy erupted.
Speculation intensified when eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Eigenmann had unfollowed Sjoö on Instagram, fueling further online discussions.
Meanwhile, social media users have also observed that Eigenmann, Sjoö are no longer following each other, adding the buzz on netizenz. The actress further fanned the flames by posting a series of cryptic Instagram Stories, seemingly hinting at the situation.
The couple, engaged since 2020, shares two children — Lilo and Koa. In April 2024, they announced that their wedding plans had been put on hold as they were still mourning the passing of Eigenmann’s mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose.
As speculation continues to swirl, neither Eigenmann nor Alipayo has issued an official statement regarding their relationship status.
