Angeline Quinto’s story is one of dreams realized, a testament to the power of talent and perseverance. From her humble beginnings in Sampaloc, Manila, to becoming a celebrated singer, actress and television personality, Quinto’s journey has been marked by both professional triumphs and personal growth. Her soulful voice, capable of conveying both vulnerability and strength, has resonated with audiences, making her a prominent figure in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Quinto’s rise to fame began in 2011 when she won the television talent show Star Power. This victory launched her into the spotlight, leading to a contract with Star Music and a fruitful collaboration with songwriter and producer Jonathan Manalo. Her self-titled debut album, featuring the hit single “Patuloy Ang Pangarap” (The Dream Continues), was a resounding success, earning double platinum certification and an Aliw Award for Best New Artist. This marked the beginning of a remarkable career.
Quinto’s musical journey has been characterized by artistic evolution. From her early ballads to her more recent works, she has consistently demonstrated her vocal prowess and a growing maturity in her artistry. Albums like Fall In Love Again and Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon further solidified her position as a leading voice in Filipino music, with the latter making her the first Filipino artist to record all the songs for a television show soundtrack. Her willingness to experiment with her image and style, evident in albums like Higher Love and @LoveAngelineQuinto, has earned her critical acclaim and showcased her versatility as an artist.
Beyond music, Quinto has also made significant contributions to the world of film and television. She showcased her acting skills in romantic comedies like Born to Love You and dramas like Kahit Konting Pagtingin, even winning a Golden Screen TV Award for Breakthrough Performance by an Actress. Her collaborations with acclaimed filmmaker Joel Lamangan in projects like That Thing Called Tanga Na and Foolish Love further demonstrated her range and comedic timing. Quinto’s presence has also graced reality television, as a panelist on I Can See Your Voice and as a mentor on Dream Maker, where she shared her expertise and passion for music with aspiring artists.
While her professional life has been filled with accolades, including four Awit Awards, two Aliw Awards, two Box Office Entertainment Awards and seven Star Awards for Music, Quinto’s personal life has also taken centerstage.
After a previous relationship with singer Erik Santos, Quinto found love with former casino dealer Nonrev Daquina. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in April 2022, and their second child, a daughter, in August 2024. Their marriage, two years after their engagement in September 2022, marked a new chapter in her life.
Now, as a wife and mother of two, Quinto’s priorities have shifted. In a recent interview at a contract signing for You Glow Babe beauty products, she shared, “The happiness that I expected turned out to be more. It’s really different. Maybe what I can say is, it’s not easy. Balancing my time between work and caring for my child, that’s what I really worked on more. Lahat ng ginagawa ko ngayon para sa family ko para sa dalawang anak ko sila ang inspirasyon ko kung bakit ko ito lahat ginagawa (Everything I do now is for my family, for my two children. They are my inspiration for why I do all of this),” she said.
These words reflect the dedication and love that now drive her, as she navigates the challenges and joys of motherhood while continuing to pursue her successful career. Angeline Quinto’s story is a continuing dream, one that beautifully intertwines artistic achievement with the profound fulfillment of family life.
