A nationwide manhunt has been launched for former Senior Fire Officer 2 (SFO2) Reyca Janisa Palpallatoc following failed attempts by law enforcement teams to serve a warrant of arrest issued by Honorable Judge Ronald August Tan of Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 297.
The warrant is in connection with charges of large-scale illegal recruitment involving the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Police teams have visited several locations linked to Palpallatoc, including her former office at the BFP headquarters and her last known addresses in Quezon City; Calamba, Laguna; and Malolos, Bulacan. However, the fugitive remains at large and is suspected of fleeing the country, possibly to Indonesia, to evade arrest.
Palpallatoc faces allegations of using her position as a BFP officer to engage in illegal recruitment schemes, luring individuals with false promises of government employment.
In addition to the criminal charges, she is also the subject of administrative cases filed with the Office of the Ombudsman and the Professional Regulation Commission for immorality and professional misconduct. These cases include accusations by Mrs. Faiza Utuali, who claims Palpallatoc had an illicit relationship with her husband, a dismissed Marine officer.
