CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Engr. Geri-Geronimo Sañez has replaced OIC regional director Andresito Cabalar as the new regional director of Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) as posted on social media on Tuesday.
According to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Sañez was appointed as the EMB regional director under Special Order No. 892 issued by Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga.
Cabalar, who was succeeded by Sañez, is concurrently serving as the Finance and Administrative Division Chief.
During the turnover ceremony, DENR Assistant Secretary for Environment and EMB Director Jacqueline Caancan lauded the contributions of Cabalar during his tenure. She also encouraged personnel to foster collaboration and work harmoniously under Sañez’s leadership to ensure an efficient environmental governance.
Meanwhile, regional executive director Ralph Pablo welcomed Sañez, extending confidence that his leadership would bring a new perspective and standpoint to address environmental challenges in Region 3.
Sañez previously served as section chief of the Hazardous Waste Management Section and division chief of the Environmental Quality Management Division of the EMB.
