

BAGUIO CITY — Members of the Cordillera Police in separate operations uprooted full grown marijuana plants (FGMJPs) with a total worth of P1,908,000 from eight plantation sites in the provinces of Benguet and Kalinga Monday.
According to the report of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, the Benguet Police conducted marijuana eradication in the municipalities of Kapangan and Kibungan.
Joint operatives of the Kapangan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Kibungan MPS, 2nd Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) discovered seven marijuana plantation sites in Barangays Pudong and Gadang in Kapangan and in Barangay Tacadang in Kibungan.
These sites were planted with 5,040 pieces of FGMJP with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P1,008,000.
Another marijuana plantation site were discovered joint operatives from Tinglayan MPS, 1st and 2nd Kalinga PMFC, PIU, and PDEU of Kalinga PPO, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 and Provincial Drug Enforcement Agency-Kalinga in Barangay Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga. The total haul, according to the report, is 4,500 pieces of FGMJP with an SDP of P900,000.
