FLOWERS GALORE!

This year’s altar mayor decoration for the 9 January festivities at the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of the Black Nazarene was completed by 24 expert florists and volunteers who joined forces to beautify the sacred space.

• 120 bundles of red carnations

• 100 bundles of yellow carnations

• 140 pieces of yellowin

• 30 bundles of gypsophila

• 60 stems of cut phalaenopsis

• 40 bundles of wonder yellow

• 80 packs of amaranthus yellow

• 40 bundles of silver dollar

• Mokara orchids

• Red Ecuadorian roses

Additional materials:

• 600 pieces of rosal leaves

• 70 pieces of honey lemon leaves

• 15 boxes of floral foam

• 3 packs of tubes

• 5 packs of sticks

• 7 packs of scotch tape

• 2 rolls of straw tali

• 6 rolls of chicken wire

• 6 pieces of 3x2x12 clean dry wood

• 2 kilos of alambre

• 2 guntuckers

• 2 bala tuckers

The meticulous preparations reflect the devotion and dedication poured into the annual celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
