Aboitiz Construction has completed the construction of five warehouses for FAST Logistics Group in Barangay Tayud, Consolacion, Cebu.
The project, spanning a total construction floor area of 17,315 square meters, was delivered in under a year.
“At Aboitiz Construction, we take pride in delivering infrastructure that enables businesses to grow and communities to thrive,” Ramez Sidhom, Aboitiz Construction’s chief operating officer, said on Thursday.
“The completion of the FAST Logistics Group’s warehouse complex in Consolacion, Cebu, reflects our steadfast commitment to operational excellence and effective collaboration with partners.”
300 hands from Cebu
The facility comprises five ambient warehouses and ancillary buildings, constructed in two phases.
Using Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) steel materials and a steel formwork system, Aboitiz Construction employed innovative approaches to ensure durability and efficiency in the project.
Approximately 300 workers were employed during the construction, with 80 percent of the workforce locally sourced from Cebu.
The initiative supported local economic growth and development while achieving over 800,000 safe man-hours, underscoring Aboitiz Construction’s commitment to safety and quality.
The project carried out in collaboration with property developer MVC Development Corporation and project management consultant Hearn & Hearn Consulting, represents a major step in FAST Logistics Group’s expansion.
FAST Logistics continues to broaden its reach to address increasing market demands.
Meanwhile, the successful delivery of this warehouse complex aligns with Aboitiz Construction’s growing portfolio in the light industries sector.
