Police arrested two individuals for possession of shabu and an explosive device in Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa on Friday.

The suspects, identified as alias Jhan, 34, and alias Malyn, 31, were apprehended during a buy-bust operation conducted at about 1:25 p.m. by the Muntinlupa Police Drug Enforcement Unit.

Authorities confiscated 25 grams of shabu valued at P170,000 and an M26 hand grenade.

The illegal drugs will be turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for analysis.

The suspects will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 9516 (illegal possession of explosives).

The SPD stated that they will intensify their anti-illegal drug operations on a daily basis.
