The young talent was awarded Breakthrough Child Performer of the Year at the 37th Aliw Awards. Proud mom Marian shared a video of Zia’s heartfelt acceptance speech on Facebook.
“Congratulations Mahal ko. Proud na proud kami sayo!” Marian wrote in her post.
In her speech, Zia expressed her heartfelt thanks to the Aliw Awards for the recognition and acknowledged her teacher, Jade Riccio, for inspiring her to dream big.
“Thank you for the Aliw Awards for giving me this wonderful award and, especially, thank you to Teacher Jade for always telling me never to give up and always achieve my dreams,” Zia said.
She also gave a special shoutout to her family for their unwavering love and support.
Earlier this December, Zia graced the stage for the first time at the Be Our Guest concert, where she performed a soulful rendition of Andra Day’s “Rise Up.”
Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, who tied the knot in December 2014, welcomed Zia in November 2015. The couple also has a son, Jose Sixto Dantes IV.
