The Presidential Communications Office (PCO), in partnership with the Presidential Broadcast Staff-Radio Television Malacañang (PBS-RTVM), has expanded its reach as the government’s lead communications arm.
In addition to regular televised press briefings, live coverages, sit-down interviews, and a growing online presence, the PCO and PBS-RTVM launched a new podcast titled “Bagong Pilipino,” which highlights Filipino personalities and their journeys toward becoming a Bagong Pilipino.
The new program is hosted by broadcast journalist, television host and live events emcee Paolo Bediones and TV host-model Isabelle Daza.
In its pilot episode, comedian Alex Calleja and content creator Boss Toyo were featured as guests. They discussed what changes could Filipino do in welcoming the new year especially in modern times.
The Bagong Pilipino podcast streamed its first episode on 16 December and is available in social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Tiktok and Spotify under the Bagong Pilipino accounts and pages.
Bediones hinted that they will feature more personalities, as well as politicians in future episodes.
