Senator Bong Revilla faced the entertainment media recently for the launch of the third season of his successful action comedy show Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis.

The actor-politician in our up close interview shared the highlights of his year.

“Sobrang full of blessings ang taong 2024 para sa akin. May anak ako na naging doctor, may naging abogado. Naging lolo ako muli sa ikawalong napagkakataon and gumaling ang tuhod ko (The year has been filled with blessings. I have a new doctor in the family, a new lawyer, and I have a new grandson, my eight. And my health is good),” Senator Revilla said.

For the holiday season, Bong said it’s going to be a traditional Christmas with the family and his whole clan in Cavite.

“Christmas nasa bahay lang kami sa Cavite — traditional na Pasko kasama ang buong family. ‘Yung isa ko kapatid nag-plan na dapat mag Korea kami pero may gulo yata doon ngayon (For Christmas, the whole family will be together in Cavite. My sibling wanted us to go to Korea but the political situation is not so good there now),” he added.

With all the blessings coming his way, Bong shared that God’s love is truly unconditional.

“Pinapa-realize sa akin ni God na mahal niya ako at patuloy ang pagbibigay niya ng blessings sa akin (God made me realize that He truly loves me and He continues to send me His blessings),” he added.

The senator revealed that he misses making movies, especially for the Metro Manila Film Festival.

“Sobrang nami-miss ko ang MMFF lalo na ngayon na 50th year nila. Kaso nga ‘di na tayo aabot kung gagawa tayo ng Alyas Pogi, pero nakita n’yo naman sa scenes ko dito sa Walang Matigas na Pulis after gumaling ng Achilles tendon ko — nakakatalon na ako; nakakatakbo na. Sabi ng doktor ko binigyan na ako ng go signal I can do anything (I missed being part of the MMFF. More so this year, its 50th. But, if I had done Alyas Pogi we would not have met the deadline. You saw my scenes here in Walang Matigas na Pulis after my Achilles tendon healed. Now, I am able to jump and run and my doctor has given me the go-signal. I can do anything),” he said.

Beauty on Bong

Beauty Gonzales, meanwhile, who plays Bong’s wife Gloria, is all praises for the actor for giving her the break to be in an action-comedy project.

“He takes care of us on the set. He laughs a lot and it takes a while before he settles down. But, seriously, he allowed everybody to shine on the show. I’m discovering comedy acting.  If you notice, I do mostly drama and horror films. Here, in comedy, it was fun because I was given the chance to do play the role of Gloria. And Bong and I won acting awards for our roles. I am very grateful,” Beauty said.

Boss Toyo thanks Sen. Bong

Social media star Boss Toyo, who is also a Caviteño, is very thankful to Bong Revilla for giving him his acting break.

“I am grateful for being part of this show. I turned down many offers to do teleseryes before, but they were efficient and laid down the schedules right away. That’s important to me, and I am grateful for this one because it was made by people from Cavite),” Boss Toyo said.

The third season of Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis airs on GMA Network beginning 22 December.
