Pag-IBIG Fund has recently introduced the Pag-IBIG Acquired Assets Online Public Auction (OPA), an innovative platform enabling homebuyers to browse and bid for properties online.

With the OPA, buyers can register for a permanent Buyer ID and explore available properties using any internet-connected device — eliminating the need to visit a Pag-IBIG branch. The platform also features an “Add to Cart” function, allowing users to bid on multiple properties with a single click.

“This initiative aligns with the government’s call for innovation to improve accessibility to homeownership for Filipino workers,” said Secretary Jose Rizalino L. Acuzar, who chairs the Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees and leads the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).

“We aim to make the process of acquiring homes more convenient and accessible through this new platform.”

Digital shift moves forward

Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer Marilene Acosta underscored the agency’s commitment to digital transformation, saying, “We are in the digital age. The OPA reflects our dedication to leveraging technology to help Filipino workers achieve their dream of homeownership.”

The OPA platform will be fully implemented on January 1, 2025, for the First and Second Public Auctions. A manual bidding option remains available until 31 December 2024. Additionally, OPA for negotiated sales will roll out within November this year.

This digital initiative reinforces Pag-IBIG Fund’s pledge to make home ownership simpler, faster and more accessible for Filipinos across the globe.
