The Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) arrested a 60-year-old male suspect and confiscated over P10 million worth of illegal drugs during an operation in Laguna on Friday.
PDEG chief BGen. Eleazar Matta identified the suspect, known by the alias "Karding," who was apprehended around 10:55 AM at his residence in Barangay Maytalang 1, Lumban, Laguna.
Matta said the operation was conducted based on a search warrant issued on 26 November by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, in Lucena City, Quezon province.
Authorities seized 1,510 grams of suspected shabu valued at P10,268,000 and 301 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P37,625.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Lumban Municipal Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
