San Antonio, Nueva Ecija — The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the road improvement project in Purok 6, Barangay Buliran town here which is expected to provide ease of access to rural areas.
According to the DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office, the project consists of the concreting of the 1.86-kilometer local road with a 6.7-lineal-meter wide pavement, a cross drain, and a 0.5-meter gravel road shoulder leading to the Luyos-Buliran bridge.
“This newly paved road will support rural development in the area, significantly improving mobility. Farmers and residents of Barangay Buliran and Barangay Luyos will now have enhanced access to social, health, and educational services,” said District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad.
Meantime, Assistant District Engineer Robert Jay Panaligan cited that the road upgrade will enhance daily commutes, facilitate the transport of local agricultural products — especially calamansi and dairy produce — and expand the road networks by connecting local roads to provincial routes.
