Popular basketball video game NBA 2K has included the songs of Pinoy rappers Al James and Cookie$ in its official soundtrack, the NBA 2K24 Beats.

"PSG" by Al James and "Bogo" by Cookie$ are among the 81 songs in this year's NBA 2K24 soundtrack.

"PSG" has over 71 million streams on Spotify, while 'Bogo' has over 4.7 million streams on the same platform.

The NBA playlist includes songs from award-winning artists like J.Cole, Rick Ross, Korean boy group Stray Kids and many more. 

In a post, NBA 2K said it aims to mix and highlight the worlds of hip-hop and the world of basketball.

"We're paying homage to the genre by compiling master producers, lyrical legends and the next generation of innovators into a sizzling tracklist that you can hoop to all year long," NBA 2K said.

The video game had featured other Filipino rappers in previous official playlists, among them Flow G, Shanti Dope and Ez Mil, all in the NBA 2K23 soundtrack released in 2022.
