Operatives of the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit successfully busted a man and seized a sizeable amount of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Makati City.
Report gathered at the Makati police station showed the buy-bust operation resulted in the arrest of alias Daks, 45 years old for violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrest took place along Corregidor Street in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City, around 10:30 p.m. on 11 December.
During the operation, the law enforcement team recovered substantial evidence implicating the suspect's drug-related activities.
Authorities recovered two small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with a combined estimated weight of 0.2 grams valued at P1,360, one knot-tied transparent bag containing approximately 52 grams, with street value of P353,600, P1,000 buy-bust money, a Vivo cellphone, and a black/gray coin purse.
The arrested suspect is currently detained at the Station Custodial Facility of Makati City Police Station while the seized drug evidence will be taken to Southern Police District Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination.
