Filipino ace Alex Eala defeated France's Elsa Jacquemot, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 to enter the main draw of the Jasmin Open in Monastir, Tunisia Sunday evening.

Eala enters the main draw after defeating hometown bet Feryel Ben Hassen 6-1, 6-0, last Saturday and Jacquemont in two qualifying matches.

The two-time Asian Games bronze medalist will be having an acid test in the round of 32 as she is paired against WTA No. 41 Elise Mertens of Belgium.
