Two police drug operatives were shot to death on Saturday in Pampanga following an operation in Mabalacat.
Based on the initial report of the Mabalacat CPS, the shooting of two police officers took place at around 3:30 a.m. to 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, 3 December along South Daang Bakal road, Barangay Dau, in the said city.
The victims were identified as PSMS Sofronio C. Capitle Jr., and PSSG Dominador V Gacusan JR. members of Mabalacat City Police Station-Station Drug Enforcement Unit. They were allegedly shot by 5 unidentified males onboard 2 motorcycles wearing bonnets and long sleeves.
Investigation showed that both victims had come from their anti-illegal drugs operations.
While on their way onboard a single motorcycle, the still unidentified suspects tailed them and upon reaching place of incident, suspects fired on the victims causing them to fall on the ground.
The suspects alighted from their motorcycles and shot the victims at point blank range on their head that resulted in their untimely death.
Police were currently conducting an in-depth investigation into the death of their brother in uniform while performing their duty.
