Migos member Takeoff is dead.
On 1 November, the rapper was involved in a brutal shooting incident at a private party held at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston in Texas.
Police confirmed his death shortly after. Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was 28.
Quavo, Takeoff's uncle and Migos member who was also at the incident, left unscathed. Offset was not present at the bowling alley.
Other casualties included a man who was pronounced dead on the scene as well as two other victims who were immediately taken to the hospital.
Authorities have yet to point out the suspect and are urging witnesses to speak up.
"There were 40 people, at least, at this event. And people left, possibly out of fear. I ask you one thing… What if it was your brother? What if it was your son? You would want somebody to step up. So please step up. Get the information to us so we can give some closure to this family who is hurting right now," Houston Police chief Troy Finner said during the press conference.
Several artists paid tribute to Takeoff.
Drake said: "I got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That's what I'll focus on for now. Rest easy space man."
"Forever the space cadet Forever the rocket the most humble the illest 4ever Take," Travis Scott said.
Journalist Jemele Hill recalled her college days when Biggie and 2Pac were also mercilessly shot to death. "(I) thought there was no way we'd ever experience anything remotely close to that again. Now it's happening so frequently that you barely have time to recover before someone else killed. RIP Takeoff," she added.
