In her own little way, Bini’s Stacey has reached out to cancer warrior and content creator Axl Ford after coming across his TikTok video about his plight, offering him and his grandfather, who is also afflicted with cancer, financial assistance.
Appreciating Stacey’s help and intention, Ford shared on TikTok a screenshot of a private message he received from Stacey.
“Hi! I came across your video on TikTok and I would love to help you and your lolo. If you have a GCash account or any online banking account, please feel free to send me the details,” Stacey wrote.
“Laban lang po! God bless you always,” Stacey added.
Deeply moved, Ford showed his appreciation for Stacey’s gesture by posting this on his Facebook account: “Kilala niyo ba ang Bini, mga ka-warriors? Maraming salamat, Bini Stacey.
“Sa simpleng mensahe mo, pinaramdam mong hindi kami nag-iisa sa laban namin ni Lolo. Hindi namin makakalimutan ang kabutihang ipinakita mo (In your simple message, you made us feel that we are not alone in our fight. We will not forget the kindness you showed us),” he said.
Barbie Forteza gets biggest film break in ‘Saving Cherry’
Barbie Forteza is on pins and needles as her biggest break in film, Saving Cherry, is currently showing in 160 cinemas nationwide.
Forteza plays Cherry in the movie, who is extremely disgusted to discover that her husband (Khalil Ramos) cheated on her during their first night as a married couple.
Furious, she wants to get even, willing to have her cherry popped by any guy. With this, she and her friends — Mikee Quintos, AC Bonifacio, Mika Salamanca, and Sassa Gurl — get embroiled in a series of misadventures as Cherry relentlessly chases one guy after another. Their shenanigans land them all in jail not once but twice.
Forteza is perfect for the role as it requires her to be both comic and dramatic. She is exhilaratingly funny one moment and dramatically pitiful the next, showing ease in her emotional transitions.
The movie bravely tackles the issues of virginity, women empowerment, the sanctity of marriage, and the ugly truths of betrayal.
Ramos is very convincing as the cheating husband. JC Alcantara is rock-solid as the boy next door whose character offers a twist. Quintos, Bonifacio and Salamanca give Forteza very good support, while Sassa Gurl’s character could be removed and the story would still be intact.
‘Call Me Mother’ hits number one
ContentAsia Awards 2026 Silver winner for Best Feature Film or Telemovie Made in Asia, Call Me Mother, starring Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre, has soared to number one on Netflix Philippines’ list of most-watched movies.
The box-office movie, directed by Jun Robles Lana, premiered on the streaming platform on 27 August and has consistently captured the hearts of Filipinos with its heartwarming and relatable story of motherhood, exploring the countless sacrifices and unconditional love of a mother.

In Call Me Mother, Vice plays a queer mother to her adoptive son, Angelo (Lucas). Their unbreakable bond is put to the test when Mara (Nadine), Angelo’s biological mother, enters their lives and attempts to gain custody of her child.
