The city government of Navotas received recognition from the Department of Health-Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) for its successful implementation of the National Immunization Program.
Acting Navotas City Health Officer, Dr. Eric C. Caseñas received the award during the DOH-MMCHD 35th Founding Anniversary celebration last 14 October 14 at the Manila Hotel.
Navotas is a consistent top performer among local government units in Metro Manila in terms of providing immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases.
In 2021, the city scored 101.11 percent in Measles-Rubella Supplementary Immunization Activity.
It also exceeded its target in Measles-Rubella-Tetanus-Diphtheria Community-Based Immunization (MR-Td-CBI) on the same year with 129.76 percent inoculation rate in Measles-Rubella and 124.64 percent in Tetanus-Diphtheria.
