Jennifer Lopez displays a different kind of unconditional love in the new film The Mother.
"If there's trouble, come find me," says Lopez in the first look of the film released on 24 September.
Chasing cars, guns, and endless fights, the multi-awarded actress and pop singer dives in an action drama as an assassin who swears to protect her daughter from danger after years of leaving her behind.
The film's trailer shows the characters' living conditions, with Lopez living in a snowy remote cabin away from the city. But circumstances changed when her daughter needed her.
"She needs protection right now," said Lopez in a scene. The clip also showed her daughter (Lucy Paez) taken by a man.
Joining Lopez in The Mother are Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci and Gael Garcia Bernal.
The Mother is helmed by director Niki Caro (Mulan live action) and written by Andrea Berloff, Peter Craig and Misha Green based on a story by Green.
Official release date of the film is yet to be announced but is targeted to stream on Mother's Day next year, May 2023.
