A familiar Filipino face becomes part of a high-stakes mystery that stretches across borders.

Veteran actor Joel Torre leads the local connection in KiDnap GAME, the latest Viu Original thriller that gathers performers from across Asia in a story about survival, sacrifice and the lengths people will go to save the ones they love.

The series follows seven strangers whose lives suddenly become connected after simultaneous kidnappings occur in seven different cities. Their families receive a chilling challenge: “How far are you willing to go to save your loved one? Only one can be saved.”

Forced into separate missions with time running out, the participants must navigate a deadly game where every decision carries serious consequences. As the mystery unfolds, they begin to uncover the truth behind the disturbing challenge that has placed their loved ones’ lives at risk.

Torre joins an international ensemble that includes Kentaro Sakaguchi, Lee Joon-Gi, Chia Yen Ko (Alice Ko), Narupornkamol Chaisang, Stanley Yau and Carrie Wong. The cast represents different cultures and backgrounds, reflecting the series’ broader Asian setting.

For Filipino viewers, Torre’s involvement brings a homegrown presence to the cross-border production. The acclaimed actor appears from the first episode, taking on a significant role that introduces a Filipino perspective within the suspense-filled narrative.

Known for his acclaimed work in Philippine cinema and television, Torre continues to expand his international projects through KiDnap GAME, further showcasing Filipino talent in stories created for audiences beyond the country.

The series premiered on 6 October and is now streaming on Viu, with new episodes arriving every Tuesday.
