LTFRB inspects CdO roadside drive PUVs

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Law enforcers from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) conducted a targeted roadside inspection along C.M. Recto Avenue on Tuesday, apprehending four public utility vehicles for regulatory and franchise violations.
LTFRB Northern Mindanao regional director Aljo Bendijo reported that the spot checks form part of sustained regional enforcement operations designed to monitor compliance, uphold road safety standards, and protect commuters across the region.
During the C.M. Recto Avenue operation, LTFRB enforcers cited three traditional public utility jeepneys for failing to present required franchise documents or Certificates of Public Convenience, operating without valid advertising permits, and non-compliance with driver uniform requirements.
Enforcers also cited one modern public utility jeepney for passenger overloading.
