Go backs TESDA skills training in Makati

Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go attended the graduation of 50 scholars who completed the Beverage Products Development Level IV program in Makati City on Sept. 28.

The ceremony was held at The Winning Circle Corp. - Life Skills PH, where Go highlighted the role of technical-vocational education in helping graduates gain skills for employment.

Go said skills training can provide opportunities for Filipinos seeking work, particularly in industries such as business process outsourcing where demand for skilled workers remains.

He also pointed to his support for education-related measures, including the Alternative Learning System Act and the Student Loan Payment Moratorium During Disasters and Emergencies Act.

Go has also filed a bill seeking to institutionalize technical and vocational education and livelihood programs, including for rehabilitated drug dependents.

Through his Malasakit Team, the 50 graduates received food packs, vitamins, snacks and shirts. Sports equipment was also distributed during the event.
