Police arrested nine individuals and seized a combined 25.46 grams of suspected shabu in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Pangasinan on 22 September 2026.

In Bani, police arrested a 59-year-old married man and recovered 6.64 grams of suspected shabu, with a reported street value of P45,152, during a search operation that started at 5:45 a.m.

In Anda, a 48-year-old construction worker was arrested in an operation that started at 5 a.m., resulting in the seizure of 1.9 grams of suspected shabu valued at P12,920 and a small silver metal box.

Police in San Manuel arrested a 50-year-old unemployed man during an operation that started at 4:20 a.m. Authorities recovered three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400, a caliber .38 revolver loaded with six live rounds, a black coin purse and a broken glass tube.

In Urdaneta City, an 18-year-old student was arrested in a buy-bust operation that started at 9:30 a.m. Police confiscated 0.87 grams of suspected shabu worth P5,916, a P500 buy-bust bill, a caliber .38 revolver, two live rounds, a cellular phone and a black sling bag.

In Mabini, police arrested another 18-year-old suspect during a buy-bust operation that started at 6:18 p.m. The operation resulted in the seizure of 0.23 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,564, along with a P500 bill used as buy-bust money, a glass tube, two lighters, a red pouch and a cellular phone.

In Lingayen, a 41-year-old tricycle driver was arrested in a buy-bust operation that started at 5:36 p.m. Police recovered 11.01 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,868, a homemade caliber .38 revolver, six live rounds, a P500 buy-bust bill, a cellular phone and a motorcycle with sidecar.

Police in San Carlos City also arrested a 23-year-old welder during a buy-bust operation that started at 7:55 p.m. Authorities seized 1.4 grams of suspected shabu valued at P9,520 and buy-bust money.

In Malasiqui, a 41-year-old jobless man was arrested in a buy-bust operation that started at 9:30 p.m. Police recovered 0.26 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,768, a P500 bill used as buy-bust money, a cellular phone, a wallet, a piece of paper and a motorcycle.

The final operation was conducted in Binalonan, where police arrested a 43-year-old egg vendor in a buy-bust operation that started at 9:55 p.m. Authorities seized 0.15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,020, buy-bust money, a motorized tricycle and a cellular phone.

PRO1 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Crisaleo Roleda Tolentino said the police have made significant progress in the campaign against illegal drugs, but the latest operations showed that law enforcement continues to deliver blows against drug activities in Pangasinan.

Tolentino said the PNP would sustain its efforts to dismantle the illegal drug trade while ensuring that drug users are given the opportunity to change, undergo rehabilitation and return to productive lives.

At the same time, he said police would continue pursuing drug pushers and dealers and ensure that those found guilty are held accountable and imprisoned in accordance with the law.

Police said the seized drug evidence from the operations was inventoried and marked in the presence of the suspects and mandatory witnesses, as required by law.

The suspects may face charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The San Manuel operation also involved a suspected violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act
