

A newly identified high-value individual in the illegal drug trade is now behind bars after Southern Police District (SPD) operatives seized suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Monday night.
The operation was conducted at about 10:30 p.m., along Mindanao Avenue, Barangay Maharlika Village, Taguig City, by operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with Sub-Station 7 of the Taguig City Police Station.
Nabbed in the operation was alias Bag, 45, a motorcycle ride-hailing rider, and resident of the said barangay. He was arrested for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Recovered from the suspect were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a white envelope containing the buy-bust money, and one white Android mobile phone. The suspected illegal drugs had an estimated weight of 150 grams with a standard drug price of P1,020,000.
The arrested suspect was brought to the DDEU-SPD office for documentation and preparation of the appropriate charges.
