Makati Medical Center’s Skin and Laser Hub has officially launched Ultherapy Prime, introducing the latest advancement in ultrasound-based technology designed for non-invasive skin lifting and tightening.

During the launch, Dr. Ma. Lourdes Aragon de Veyra, head of the Skin and Laser Hub, emphasized the technology’s precision and safety. She explained that Ultherapy Prime uses micro-focused ultrasound to deliver energy directly to targeted layers of the skin.

“Its strength is precision, as it can deliver energy directly to three layers of the skin. This is vital for tightening, specifically targeting the sub-dermis and the SMAS — the fibrotic area that plastic surgeons pull to tighten the skin,” De Veyra said.

She also highlighted the technology’s robust safety profile, backed by years of extensive research. “It’s highly safe because we never burn the skin using Ultherapy. It has been studied for several years, and we have more than 50 clinical studies supporting it,” she added.

De Veyra pointed out several key improvements in the new Prime model, including a larger screen, shorter treatment times, and significantly enhanced patient comfort compared to earlier iterations.

Meanwhile, newly named ambassadors Megan Young and Mikael Daez shared why they chose to partner with Makati Med’s Skin and Laser Hub.
