POCO has launched the F9 Ultra and F9 Pro in the Philippines, pushing deeper into the premium smartphone segment with 185Hz displays, 200-megapixel cameras and hardware built heavily around mobile gaming.

Leading the lineup is the POCO F9 Ultra, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and a dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset. POCO said the device scored 4,165,108 on AnTuTu. Both F9 models use the VisionBoost D8 to support Smart frame rates of up to 185FPS, with more than 20 games capable of running natively at the higher rate.

POCO paired the hardware with its WildBoost Engine and 3D IceLoop cooling system to manage sustained gaming loads.

The Ultra carries a 6.9-inch 185Hz HyperRGB AMOLED display, while the F9 Pro uses a smaller 6.59-inch panel with the same refresh rate. Both use POCO’s new M11 luminescent material and can reach 4,500 nits of peak brightness in several scenarios and up to 10,000 nits for HDR content, according to the company.

Audio is another focus of the series. POCO continued its partnership with Bose, bringing Sound by Bose tuning to both devices. The Ultra uses dual stereo speakers paired with a dedicated subwoofer for a 2.1-channel setup, while the Pro uses dual stereo speakers with a sealed cavity design.

A gaming audio mode is designed to make footsteps more prominent and improve directional sound during competitive play.

    POCO gets serious about cameras

The F9 Series also introduces POCO’s first 200MP main camera system, with optical image stabilization on both models.

The F9 Ultra adds a 5x periscope telephoto camera, offering 10x lossless zoom and up to 20x AI Ultra Zoom. The F9 Pro instead uses a 50MP 2.5x floating telephoto camera that can focus from as close as 10 centimeters.

Battery capacity is similarly aggressive. The F9 Ultra houses an 8,050mAh battery, the largest in POCO’s F Series, while the F9 Pro carries 6,330mAh.

Both support 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless charging, along with wired and wireless reverse charging.

    Prices

In the Philippines, the POCO F9 Ultra starts at P55,999 for the 12GB+256GB configuration, while the F9 Pro starts at P49,999 with the same memory and storage.

From 1 to 16 September, early-bird pricing drops the F9 Ultra 12GB+256GB to P45,999 and the F9 Pro to P33,999, with additional platform rebates available.

The promotion includes REDMI Buds 8 Active, a 1+1-year warranty and up to six months of screen replacement through Xiaomi service centers.

POCO also teased the upcoming POCO X8, which features an 8,340mAh battery and a 6.83-inch display, expanding the company’s 2026 lineup below the flagship F9 models.
