Yuyek Cup bowlfest set


The stage is set for the All-Star Rotary Governor Ernest D. Yuyek Cup Bowling Tournament this Saturday at the Paeng’s Midtown Bowl in Robinson’s Place Ermita in Manila.
Yuyek, the All-Star governor of Rotary District International 3810, said proceeds of the project that is set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be donated to the victims of the typhoon that hit the country last month.
All-Star Rotary chairman Manny Inserto will lead the tournament proper in three games scratch as he expects to draw the participation of the members of other Rotary clubs, bowling organizations, and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as it is the first project of its kind by the All-Star Presidents Association (ASPA).
Inserto, the tournament chairman, is a former OFW from the Middle East countries and the founder of the Philippine Bowling Association in Kuwait in 1986. Right now, he is the vice president and treasurer of Bangko ng Kabuhayan.
ASPA director for Finance, Clint Meneses, the deputy tournament director, will deliver the Oath of Sportsmanship while Yuyek will formally kick off the event by hitting the first ball of competition.
