  • BPI Wealth, the asset and wealth management arm of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), has selected BlackRock’s Aladdin investment and wealth management platforms as part of its efforts to strengthen and future-proof its asset and wealth management operations.

In a statement, BPI Wealth president and CEO Maria Theresa Marcial said the move forms part of the company’s efforts to bring its wealth management capabilities to global standards as client requirements and financial markets become increasingly complex.

“Selecting Aladdin marks a pivotal step in our journey to elevate our wealth management capabilities to global standards,” Marcial said.

She added that the technology will support tailored solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families and institutional investors while helping the company expand its capabilities across traditional and alternative investments.

BlackRock’s Aladdin platform is used by financial institutions worldwide to manage investment and risk processes at scale.

Through the partnership, BPI Wealth will join the platform’s global network of asset managers and other financial institutions.

The platform will integrate risk analytics, portfolio management tools and operational workflows into a unified system, allowing BPI Wealth to better manage complex multi-asset portfolios and provide more timely investment insights for both onshore and offshore managed portfolios.

Meanwhile, James Verner, BlackRock’s head of APAC Business Development for Aladdin, said demand for cross-border investments is increasing alongside client expectations for consistency, transparency and operational resilience.

“Clients are increasingly seeking cross-border investments with rising expectations for consistency, transparency, and operational resilience,” Verner said.

He added that combining Aladdin Enterprise and Aladdin Wealth in a connected ecosystem would help BPI Wealth deliver more personalized client experiences at scale.

BPI Wealth is a wholly owned subsidiary of BPI authorized to provide trust, investment management, and other fiduciary services. It had P2.045 trillion in assets under management as of June 2026, making it the largest standalone trust corporation in the Philippines.

The company recently launched new peso-denominated share classes for two of its global investment funds, including the BPI World Technology Feeder Fund, which provides exposure to leading global technology companies through BlackRock’s World Technology Fund, including Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft and Apple.
