DAVAO CITY — Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia (CCSA) ripped bitter rival Boot Camp Diwa to dominate the 2026 Kadayawan Sepak Takraw: Battle of Champions at the Davao City Recreation Center here.
With the win, CCSA earned a P50,000 cash prize and a trophy as the tournament wrapped up the two-day competition dubbed the biggest sepak takraw event so far in Mindanao that was backed by First District Congressman Paolo Duterte and PPP.
Boot Camp Diwa settled for first runner-up with P30,000 and a trophy while SODUSTA wound up 2nd runner-up with P20,000 and a trophy and CBC at 3rd runner-up with P15,000.
Helbert Albiso emerged as one of the tournament’s biggest standouts, taking both the Best Spiker and Best Blocker awards while Robert Lapaz was named Most Valuable Player and Best Tekong award, and Dominic Sagosoy took home the Best Setter plum.
They all received cash prizes worth P2,000 each that were handed by Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre of the 2nd District and Councilor Ragde Ibuyan Jr. of the 1st District.
