The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) hailed the achievements of companies that have contributed to the development of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) during the 12th FAB Stakeholders’ Night at the AFAB Auditorium in Mariveles, Bataan on 25 August 2026.

AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman led the award ceremony, as the agency honored enterprises with strong results in exports, employment and community initiatives. The said ceremony also hailed the contributions of FAB workers, as well as government partners.

The ceremony covered the 2024 and 2025 award cycles, bringing together two years of awards for enterprises, workers, and institutions that contributed to the Freeport’s continued operations and development.

In his opening remarks, Pangandaman discussed the progress of the Freeport in recent years, including AFAB’s efforts to improve infrastructure, support enterprise growth, attract investments, and strengthen the environment in which businesses operate.

Among the evening’s major distinctions, Perpetual Prime Mfg. Inc. (PPMI) was named Overall Best FAB Enterprise for both 2024 and 2025. The company also placed first in the Medium Enterprise category of the Top Exporter and Top Employer awards in both years.

Mitsumi Philippines, Inc. and Essilor Manufacturing Philippines, Inc. likewise ranked among the top three Overall Best FAB Enterprises in both award cycles.

The Top Exporter Award cited enterprises for their export results, while the Top Employer Award highlighted their contribution to employment within the FAB. The Top Community Builder Award recognized enterprises for initiatives and programs benefiting communities around the Freeport.

The awards formed part of AFAB’s continuing work to support an operating environment where enterprises can expand their activities, generate employment, and contribute to the economy of Mariveles and Bataan.

AFAB also conferred the FABnership Award on government institutions that work with the Authority in supporting the Freeport and its stakeholders. The 2024 and 2025 awardees included partners from the labor, trade, and government oversight sectors whose work helps deliver essential services to AFAB’s clients and address the needs of the Freeport community.

The ceremony also paid tribute to members of the FAB workforce. Seven (7) individuals received the Exemplary FAB Workers Award, while five (5) employees were honored through the FAB Loyalty Award for decades of service to their respective organizations.

The annual Stakeholders’ Night brought together representatives from FAB enterprises and workers, government agencies, labor organizations, industry groups, and the media, reflecting the breadth of institutions and individuals whose work contributes to the Freeport’s continued operations and development.
