Police arrested two drug personalities and confiscated approximately 250 grams of high-grade marijuana "kush" worth P375,000 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City early Sunday morning.
The suspects were identified as alias Paul, 24, unemployed and a resident of Barangay Moonwalk, Parañaque City; and alias Mikko, 24, unemployed and a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City.
At about 3:20 a.m. on 23 August 23, operatives of the Parañaque City Police Station's Drug Enforcement Unit executed the targeted operation at a residence along Daang Batang Street, Barangay Moonwalk.
An undercover officer acting as a poseur-buyer transacted with the suspects for suspected kush, prompting backup team members to immediately move in and effect the arrests.
Seized from the suspects were various sachets and plastic bags containing suspected high-grade marijuana kush with a total weight of approximately 250 grams and an estimated standard drug price value of P375,000.
Operatives also recovered the P1,000 marked buy-bust money, a smartphone, and an eco bag used to store the illegal substances.
Formal complaints for violations of Section 5 (Sale) and Section 11 (Possession), Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being finalized against alias Paul, while complaints for Section 5 (Sale) are being prepared against alias Mikko for filing before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office.
