  • GWM Philippines has appointed FAS Motors Inc. as its authorized dealer partner in Matina, Davao City and Digos City as the automaker prepares to expand its network in Mindanao.

The partnership will give motorists in the area greater access to GWM vehicles and customer support. The brand’s local lineup includes SUVs, pickup trucks and new energy vehicles.

FAS Motors will also support GWM’s sales and aftersales operations in the two areas. This will reduce the need for customers to travel farther for vehicle inquiries, maintenance and other dealership services.

GWM Philippines brand head Dax Avenido said the new dealer partner would help the automaker reach more customers in the region.

“Their presence in the Mindanao Region will allow us to bring GWM closer to more customers and provide them with greater access to our growing lineup of vehicles,” Avenido said.

He added that the automaker is working to build a dealer network that can provide customers with easier access to its vehicles and ownership services.

The Matina and Digos expansion will strengthen GWM’s coverage in the Davao area and support its broader nationwide dealership program. It also gives FAS Motors responsibility for introducing the brand to more customers in southern Mindanao.

GWM has yet to release the opening schedule and operating details for the new dealerships. Further information will be announced once preparations for the Matina and Digos locations are completed.
