Police arrested a 32-year-old immigration officer listed as the Southern Police District’s (SPD) fifth most wanted person Thursday in connection with six counts of computer-related fraud, authorities said.

Pasay City Police Station officers apprehended the suspect around 9:50 a.m. at the corner of Pasadena and F.B. Harrison streets in Barangay 70.

The arrest was made under a warrant for alleged violations of Section 4(b)(2) of Republic Act 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. The issuing court set total bail at P120,000 for all six charges.

Case records show the complaints stem from alleged irregularities during the departure processing of six passengers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in August 2025.

Investigators uncovered discrepancies involving passenger travel documents, official immigration stamps, and electronic departure database records.

The six passengers were recruited for overseas employment but were allegedly instructed to pass through immigration controls posing as tourists, according to police.

The suspect is in police custody for booking and documentation procedures prior to the return of the warrant to the court.
