The Northern Police District (NPD) arrested 18 wanted persons, including seven Top Most Wanted Persons, three Most Wanted Persons and eight other fugitives, during a coordinated “Warrant Day” operation across northern Metro Manila.
Acting NPD director Brig. Gen. Benliner L. Capili said the arrests underscore the district’s intensified campaign to track down fugitives and enforce court-issued warrants.
Among those arrested were several suspects facing charges of rape, qualified sexual assault, acts of lasciviousness, murder, frustrated murder and violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
In Navotas, police arrested a woman listed as the district’s No. 10 Top Most Wanted Person for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Valenzuela police captured a businessman wanted for two counts of qualified sexual assault and three counts of statutory acts of lasciviousness, with courts recommending total bail of P940,000.
Caloocan police, meanwhile, arrested several suspects wanted for rape, qualified rape by sexual assault, sexual assault involving minors, and illegal drug possession. One rape suspect was ordered held without bail.
In Malabon, the District Mobile Force Battalion arrested a 19-year-old suspect wanted for murder and frustrated murder, while another drug suspect was arrested in Valenzuela to serve sentence.
All arrested suspects underwent medical examination before being placed in police custody pending turnover to the courts.
