JOBSEEKERS are trying for opportunities as the local government of Malabon hosts its sixth Mega Job Fair. Organized by the Public Employment Service Office of Malabon in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment, the event gathered local applicants and participating employers under one roof.

The local government of Malabon, through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), teamed up with Trabaho Partylist to offer 4,888 local and overseas job openings during a mega job fair at Robinsons Malabon on 12 September.
The event, which marked the city’s sixth job fair of 2026, brought together 50 employers across multiple industries. Available positions included accounting staff, account managers, customer service associates, cashiers, technicians, engineers and various skilled labor roles.
“We continue to bring job opportunities closer to our Malabon residents so that more of them will have the chance to find work, improve their skills, and secure a more stable livelihood,” Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
The employment drive aligns with Sandoval’s nine-point agenda, which prioritizes expanding local access to job opportunities, livelihood programs and economic growth.
“We are not only bringing job vacancies closer to our residents, but we are also ensuring they have access to services that assist in their job searches and applications,” Sandoval said.
The event also provided a one-stop shop for government services, allowing applicants to access agencies such as the Social Security System, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and the Department of Migrant Workers in a single venue.
City Administrator Alexander Rosete said local officials plan to strengthen similar initiatives and employer partnerships to expand economic choices for residents.
