Police arrested three wanted individuals, including a high-ranking district fugitive, during a coordinated "Warrant Day" operation across the Northern Police District, officials announced Sunday.
The operation led to the capture of a 25-year-old unemployed man listed as the No. 9 most wanted person in the Northern Police District (NPD) and the No. 7 mo2st wanted suspect for Navotas City for August 2026.
Operatives from the District Special Operations Unit apprehended the suspect during a joint manhunt Saturday in Barangay Tangos South, according to Police Brig. Gen. Benliner L. Capili, acting district director of the Northern Police District.
The suspect was arrested under a warrant issued by Navotas City Regional Trial Court Branch 287 for three counts of drug paraphernalia possession under Section 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Following his arrest, the suspect underwent a medical examination before being transferred to a custodial facility pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
Police said two other wanted individuals were also taken into custody during the districtwide sweep.
