Pokwang says she is no longer discouraged by negative comments on social media, choosing instead to focus on speaking her mind about issues she believes matter.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on Fast Talk, the actress explained why she remains open about her political views despite the possibility of backlash.

“Siguro karapatan ko ’yun bilang mamamayang Pilipino, as a taxpayer, karapatan ko po ’yun, natin. Ibig sabihin lang po n’yan, aware ako sa nangyayari sa paligid and gusto ko po s’yempre, ‘yung mga anak ko, ‘yung mga apo ko, kumbaga pag nawala tayo sa mundo nitong mas matatanda, gusto nating iwanan sa kanila, isang maganda at maayos na gobyerno.”

Abunda also asked whether critical reactions to her posts still affect her emotionally.

“Dati medyo naaapektuhan ako pero ngayon, bahala kayo d’yan.”

Her remarks reflected a renewed sense of confidence, with Pokwang making it clear that she values her right to speak as a citizen more than the opinions of online critics.
