There’s something about the rainy season that makes staying in feel like the best plan. As afternoon downpours become more frequent, many are trading weekend road trips for cozy city escapes complete with plush hotel beds, warm comfort food, soothing spa treatments, and slow mornings spent indoors.
For those looking to embrace the season without leaving Metro Manila, an urban staycation offers a chance to recharge while enjoying the comforts of a luxury hotel. Guests can spend the day curled up with a book by the window, indulge in leisurely breakfasts, enjoy a relaxing massage, or gather with family over comforting meals before ending the evening with live entertainment.
One destination bringing together these experiences is City of Dreams Manila, where its three hotels — Nuwa Manila, Nobu Hotel Manila, and Hyatt Regency Manila — are offering a rainy season staycation package until 30 September.
Dubbed “Cozy in the City,” the offer includes an overnight stay with breakfast for two adults and up to two children aged 12 and below, complimentary in-room refreshments, and access to discounts on dining, spa treatments, entertainment, and family-friendly attractions throughout the property.
Beyond the rooms, the experience encourages guests to slow down and make the most of rainy days. Families can spend time indoors at DreamPlay, couples can unwind with spa treatments, while friends can linger over dinner before enjoying live music and cocktails in the evening. Complimentary shuttle rides around the integrated resort also allow guests to explore the property’s different hotels and dining spots without worrying about the weather.
Packages start at P9,700 at Hyatt Regency Manila, P10,900 at Nobu Hotel Manila, and P12,200 at Nuwa Manila, with additional savings available for guests staying two nights or longer.
The seasonal offering comes as the integrated resort continues to receive recognition from international travel and hospitality organizations. This year, City of Dreams Manila was included for the third consecutive year among the Top 10 Best Integrated Resorts in Asia Pacific in the 2026 Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific.
Its three hotels have likewise earned recognition from various global travel institutions, reflecting their reputation for attentive service, thoughtfully designed spaces, and elevated guest experiences. Nuwa Manila continues to hold a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating, while Nobu Hotel Manila remains part of the MICHELIN Guide’s hotel selection and was once again recognized among the country’s top city hotels by DestinAsian. Meanwhile, all three hotels were included in Booking.com’s 2026 Traveller Review Awards based on consistently high guest ratings.
As rainy days encourage people to slow their pace, city staycations continue to prove that sometimes the best getaway isn’t hours away — it’s simply finding a warm, comfortable space to unwind while listening to the rain outside.
