Hyundai Motor Philippines has launched the refreshed Staria with a hybrid powertrain, updated styling and new connected features.

Prices for the passenger variants start at P1.999 million, while the diesel-powered Cargo remains available at P1.499 million.

The Staria Hybrid uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an electric motor and a 1.48-kWh battery. Total output stands at 245 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque.

Power goes through a six-speed automatic transmission. The electric motor can also drive the van on its own at different speeds, including during highway travel.

Hyundai lists fuel economy at up to 17.7 kilometers per liter.

The hybrid system also adds Hyundai’s e-Motion Drive features. The e-Ride function adjusts motor control to reduce body movement over speed bumps. The e-Handling system manages torque during turns to improve grip and stability.

Other functions include e-EHA, which supports the vehicle during sudden evasive action, and e-Traction, which helps maintain grip while cornering.

The refreshed Staria receives a revised front grille, new alloy wheel designs and cube-style projection LED headlamps on higher variants. The familiar one-box shape remains, along with the wide glass area and long cabin.

Passenger choices include seven-, nine- and 11-seat layouts. The seven-seat Premium Plus has longer seat rails to give owners more room to balance passenger and cargo space.

The Premium nine-seater comes with swiveling second-row seats, while the Premium Plus receives powered relaxation seats. Heated and ventilated front and second-row seats are also available on the upper variants.

A 12.3-inch infotainment screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. USB Type-C ports are placed in the front and rear rows, while selected variants receive wireless phone charging.

Premium and Premium Plus versions also come with a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a digital instrument cluster and a column-mounted shift-by-wire selector. The range-topping model adds a dual power sunroof.

The refreshed Staria is also the first Hyundai model in the Philippines to offer Bluelink.

The connected car service lets owners check vehicle information, diagnostics and health reports through a mobile app. Climate control, door locks, lights and the horn can also be operated remotely.

Hyundai Live Services provides traffic and weather information through the infotainment system without the need to connect a phone. Information is updated every two minutes.

Safety equipment on Premium models includes Hyundai SmartSense. Features include forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind spot collision avoidance and smart cruise control with stop-and-go operation.

A surround-view monitor and front, side and rear parking sensors are also fitted to the Premium variants.

“The Staria is one of the most iconic nameplates in our current lineup, completing our hybrid range while carrying a legacy Filipinos trust,” Hyundai Motor Philippines president Jiho Son said.

The Staria Hybrid is available in Creamy White, Abyss Black Pearl and Shimmering Silver Metallic.

Prices range from P1.999 million for the nine-seat GL to P3.199 million for the seven-seat Premium Plus. The 11-seat GL costs P2.079 million, the nine-seat GLS is priced at P2.389 million and the nine-seat Premium sells for P2.999 million.

Hyundai provides a five-year or 200,000-kilometer vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty for the high-voltage battery.
