After opening an innovative 1S outlet inside Robinsons Palawan in Puerto Princesa last year, Hyundai Motor Philippines announced it is set to open another dealership in the city that is expansive and high-tech, signaling its mission to reestablish Hyundai's presence in the province.

Expected to open in the third quarter of 2024, Hyundai Palawan is part of the brand's expansion plan to beef up its network to 46.

HMPH is thankful for the help that Auto Artist Incorporated extended to Palaweño customers in reconnecting with the Korean auto brand.

"Our vision for this dealership goes beyond the physical structure that will soon rise from this very spot. In today's rapidly evolving automotive landscape, we understand that our valued customers deserve more than just a place to purchase vehicles," said Dennis Tan, president of AAI.

Tan added: "Today also reflects our commitment to progress and growth. It is a testament to the development and economic vitality of our city, as more global brands choose to invest in our community, creating jobs and stimulating economic activity. This speaks volumes about the potential and promise that our province holds. And we are thankful that Hyundai recognizes the beauty of Palawan, not just in terms of its landscape but also the spirit of its people".

1S outlet

The 1S outlet, which is the first 1S outlet under HMPH, was opened on 10 October 2023. Located at the ground floor of Robinsons Puerto Princesa, the 140.25-sq m outlet showcases a 3-car display area, a media wall, a lounge for private consultations, an open section for additional seating, and a brochure table and configurator wall.

Hyundai's 1S outlet is a type of space that does not carry vehicle servicing and spare parts as additions to sales functions. It focuses instead on digitalized touchpoints and tools that provide visitors a more lifestyle-centric and personalized approach to the car-buying process.

"At Hyundai Motor, we strive to take care of both people and planet. We regard ourselves as more than just a car company. The reason why we find ways to continuously innovate. Whether in designing vehicles, developing campaigns or creating spaces. Our 1S outlet is a product of this, created to help our customers acquire their dream Hyundai or to just simply have a coffee and discover what can be expected when they become a Hyundai owner," said Dongwook Lee, president of HMPH.

Lee was joined by other company executives, including Cecil Capacete, HMPH managing director in thanking the AAI board of directors, led by AAI president Tan, and Paul Elton Lao, AAI chief operating officer.

More than being one of the country's top tourist destinations and home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Palawan serves as a model city for sustainable technologies and practices. Hyundai aims to be a contributor, beginning with the re-establishment of its presence and commitment to this area of MIMAROPA and providing Palaweños wider access to the brand's new generation of models and high-quality aftersales services.
