The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) was recognized as one of the country's top-performing government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) after ranking among the Top 15 dividend contributors to the national government during the 2026 GOCC Day held at Malacañang Palace.
A total of P1.61 billion in dividends was remitted by the PCSO to the national government this year. This contribution was made as part of a record-setting P147.15 billion dividend collection from GOCCs.
Recognition
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go led the recognition of GOCCs for their financial performance and dividend remittances.
Go said dividend remittances from GOCCs provide an important source of government revenue that helps finance priority programs, including infrastructure, education, healthcare and other public initiatives.
The PCSO said its inclusion in the list reflects its continued dividend remittances to the national government while carrying out its mandate of generating funds for charitable programs.
PCSO revenues support various initiatives
The agency said revenues from its gaming operations support various initiatives, including medical assistance, donations of patient transport vehicles, institutional partnerships, corporate social responsibility programs and other services benefiting Filipinos nationwide.
PCSO also attributed the recognition to its fiscal management, transparency and governance practices while maintaining its charitable mission.
A total of 50 GOCCs generated a record P147.15 billion in dividend remittances this year, up 29 percent from the previous year's collection. Of this amount, P140 billion has already been remitted to the national government, with the remaining balance expected to be completed before year-end.
The PCSO said it remains committed to supporting government revenue generation while continuing to provide medical and health-related assistance and other charitable services to Filipinos.
