The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has been hailed as one of the Top 15 GOCC contributors for dividend remittances, reinforcing its dual role in funding vital government programs and sustaining nationwide medical and charitable assistance for millions of Filipinos.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has been recognized as one of the country's top-performing government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), earning a spot among the Top 15 GOCC contributors for its dividend remittances to the National Government during the 2026 GOCC Day at Malacañang.
The recognition was led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick D. Go, who cited the financial performance of GOCCs and their contributions to nation-building through higher dividend remittances.
Go said dividends remitted by GOCCs serve as an important source of government revenue that helps finance priority programs, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other public services.
PCSO said its inclusion among the country's leading dividend contributors reflects its dual mandate of generating funds for charitable programs while supporting the National Government through dividend remittances. Revenues from its gaming operations continue to fund medical assistance, patient transport vehicle donations, institutional partnerships, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and other services benefiting millions of Filipinos.
The agency added that the recognition highlights its commitment to sound fiscal management, transparency, and responsible governance while keeping its charitable mission at the forefront of its operations.
During this year's GOCC Day, 50 GOCCs collectively remitted a record P147.15 billion in dividends, representing a 29-percent increase from the previous year. Of the total amount, P140 billion has already been remitted to the National Government, with the remaining balance expected to be completed before year-end.
PCSO said the recognition underscores its continuing role as both a major provider of medical and health-related assistance and a reliable contributor to government revenues that help finance programs promoting inclusive growth and national development.
