From handcrafted pralines and decadent pastries to refined desserts and expertly crafted cocktails, chocolates showcase remarkable versatility.
In celebration of World Chocolate Day on 7 July, Newport World Resorts presents a curated collection of chocolate creations across its signature dining destinations and global hotel brands. A limited-edition chocolate experience awaits at Garden Wing Café located on the ground floor of the Garden Wing, where the Chocolate Boutique introduces an exclusive collection of handcrafted pralines created especially for the occasion.
Newport World Resorts’ signature Filipino restaurant, Casa Buenas, joins the celebration with a handcrafted selection of artisanal bonbons, each priced at P130 and available daily. The collection features Coffee Caramel with smooth coffee caramel balanced by silky milk chocolate; matcha with delicate vegetal notes and a smooth, creamy finish; Intense Dalmore Dark Chocolate, infusing dark chocolate ganache with The Dalmore whisky and notes of rich cocoa, oak, dried fruit and warm spice; Raspberry, pairing bright berry acidity with premium dark chocolate; Ginger & Honey, delicately blending smooth honey ganache with fresh ginger for a warm, elegant finish; and Coconut, combining creamy coconut ganache with delicate tropical aromas, coated in premium chocolate for a silky finish.
Chocolate also takes on a spirited interpretation through Whisky Romance, a signature cocktail served at The Whisky Library on the second floor of the Grand Wing. The indulgent creation blends salted caramel vodka, toffee nut, Mt. Apo espresso, vanilla ice cream and Davao chocolate with a choice of Tamnavulin White Wine Cask, French Cabernet Cask, Sherry Cask, or Double Cask whisky, priced at P530. The cocktail showcases how chocolate’s rich character complements the layered complexity of fine whisky.
At the Michelin Guide-listed Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts, Yawaragi presents a handcrafted collection created by Senior Pastry Chef Vi Serrano and the pastry team for World Chocolate Day. Featured creations include the Triple Chocolate Cheesecake, available as both a whole and mini cake, alongside the Chocolate Hazelnut Praline Tart, which pairs a crisp tart shell with rich chocolate and hazelnut praline. Available until 31 July, these creations start at P350. Beyond the seasonal collection, Yawaragi also offers an exclusive box of chocolate pralines created in partnership with proudly Filipino chocolatier Theo & Philo, available at the Yawaragi Pastry Boutique.
At Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, chocolate takes center stage through thoughtfully crafted confections and pastries. The Michelin Guide-listed hotel’s Marriott Café Bakery offers its Chocolate Truffle collection priced at P600 for nine pieces, while its signature all-day dining restaurant, Marriott Café, features Antonio Bachour’s signature brownies, Bachour Brownies, as part of its lunch and dinner buffet. Recognized as a three-time World’s Best Pastry Chef, Bachour’s creations reflect the technical precision and contemporary artistry that have earned him international acclaim, offering another refined chocolate experience.
Sheraton Manila Hotel at Newport World Resorts marks the celebration with chocolate creations available across two dining destinations. At Pinas Muna, the Triple Chocolate Decadent Cake (P2,400), Asin Tultul Chocolate Tart (P1,400 whole; P380 per slice) and Triple Chocolate Cookies (P190) present locally inspired interpretations of classic chocolate desserts, available until 12 July. At S Kitchen, the Chocolate Gallery serves as the dessert station highlight, featuring handcrafted chocolate artistry made with locally sourced Philippine cacao and premium chocolate. Created by the hotel’s award-winning pastry chefs, the collection transforms chocolate into elegant desserts and masterpieces, complementing S Kitchen’s international buffet experience.
