Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) brought the 2026 Land Cruiser FJ to Toyota Road Trek 19 in Cebu, where the compact 4x4 joined the event’s vehicle lineup soon after its Philippine debut.
The Land Cruiser FJ is now the smallest model in Toyota’s Land Cruiser range in the country. It sits below the larger Land Cruiser nameplates, but it keeps the basic 4x4 formula that gives the badge its appeal.
It has a ladder-frame platform, part-time four-wheel drive and a gasoline engine used in several Toyota utility models.
Toyota offers the FJ in two variants. The TX is priced at P2.235 million, while the VX sells for P2.575 million.
Platinum White Pearl Mica adds P15,000. Other colors are Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Attitude Black Mica and Ash.
Both versions use a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Output is rated at 164 horsepower and 245 Newton-meters of torque. The FJ drives the rear wheels in regular use. Drivers can switch to 4H or 4L when road or trail conditions require more grip.
The TX variant keeps the main mechanical equipment found in the VX. It has the same drivetrain, suspension layout, auto limited-slip differential, rear differential lock, hill-start assist, downhill assist control and active traction control.
That makes the TX the more straightforward version of the FJ. It rides on 17-inch steel wheels and skips fog lamps, roof rails, mudguards and side steps.
The simpler exterior may suit buyers who plan to add their own wheels, lights, rails or trail gear later.
The VX gets 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a leather shift knob and power adjustment for the driver’s seat.
It also comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert, automatic high beam and a pre-collision system.
